Chanda Kochhar: the government’s focus should be on facilitating investment: “I don’t think we need big bang reforms. The government needs to create a facilitative environment for investments to take place.” Kochhar also laborated on the role that banks can play in driving technology and innovation, pointing out that due to the relatively low value per transaction, Indian banks have had to innovate to lower their transaction costs.
