liberhanThe leak of the Liberhan report, which  investigated the 1992 demolition of the Babri Masjid which indicts top leaders of the BJP, and its leak meant there was no business in Parliament for the third consecutive day of the winter session.

The findings of the commission headed by a retired judge Supreme Court Judge M.S. Liberhan,  created an uproar in Parliament, with members of the Opposition accusing the government of leaking the report.

The report was submitted in June seventeen years after the demolition of the Babri mosque in Ayodhya and had taken 48 extensions, at a cost of 8 crore.

As reported by TheIndian Express on Monday, “the commission has indicted former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee along with the current leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Advani, and former BJP president Murli Manohar Joshi, among others, for the demolition of the Babri Masjid”.

The report is expected to be tabled in parliament today.
