Despite its incredible role in nation building, the Indian army is a mystical organization to most of the nation’s people. Just stop and think about it for a minute. What do you really know about the army? Unless, of course, there is an army background or some familiarity, an average citizen’s knowledge about the forces would probably be limited to knowing the location of the nearest cantonment and some urban legends (most incorrect) about the army.
